It has been months in the making, but our studio is finally finished all of its renovations! We couldn't be more excited to share our new space with you (virtually AND in person)!
Prior to the redesign, we sat down and sketched out exactly how we wanted it to look, taking into account multiple factors, including functionality, aesthetics, and comfort. Our goal was to create a warm and inviting space for our clients that didn't feel stuffy, but rather inviting, allowing you to relax and enjoy your session and/or consult.
While we don't have the largest studio by any means, we do try to make the best use of the space we have, and we believe that we have accomplished this finally after many long nights planning, plotting, and painting.
First, we needed new furniture that clients could sit on comfortably since the majority of our studio work consists of newborn sessions, which can run long, which is why we want to ensure that our clients can relax, enjoy a snack, or even take a nap if they would like. Next, we needed ample room to display our samples, whether it be our table top art, our wall art, or our other unique items that clients can't envision until they hold it in their hands.
After we had planned out our furnishings, we had to put an entirely new fresh coat of paint over the eggshell blue that was there when we moved in, so we replaced it with a calming gray that is a much better reflection of our brand. We refinished the beautiful hardwood floors, assembled the furniture, added the tables and shelves, and then we got to decorate.
Another exciting new feature of our studio is our wardrobe and prop closet. With our old setup, we were only utilizing the one room, which became very cumbersome. Our wardrobe selection for clients, as well as all of our props, were locked up in the closet behind the backdrop, making them almost inaccessible during a session. Now we have setup an entire closet across the hall filled with maternity gowns, newborn wraps, and other props so that clients can easily look through everything and find what fits the look they are striving for in their portraits.
We can't wait for you to come and see our new space. Hopefully you will love the studio as much as we do!
